The British Dental Association (BDA) has hired Amaze to overhaul its Web site after a competitive six-way pitch.

The British Dental Association (BDA) has hired Amaze to overhaul its Web site after a competitive six-way pitch.  The Web technology solutions company will completely revamp the Association’s Web site with a view to improving membership services, positioning the BDA as the leading source of all knowledge on dentistry and supporting the Association’s public affairs and influencing programme.  Amaze’s creativity and customer-centric approach was key to clinching the deal.

Amaze’s initial task will be to offer each of the BDA’s 21,000 members a personalised, online service, giving them access to information, guidance and advice relevant to them.  To do this Amaze will develop an online information centre based on Tridion’s Content Management System.  Amaze will also redesign the site’s user interface by making it cleaner as well as enhancing the site’s search capabilities.

In the longer term, Amaze will work with the BDA to develop an e-learning facility, which will give members access to online learning and career development programmes that can be purchased directly from the Web site.

Peter Ward, Chief Executive of the BDA, said.  “Amaze had clear and concise ideas about how they can help us improve our membership services online and understand the importance of one to one relationships.”

“The BDA needs a streamlined and cost-effective way to share information and knowledge with its membership-base,” explained Stuart Melhuish, CEO, Amaze.   “Revamping its Web site is the best and easier way to do this.  Working together we can give members access to the information they want, when they want it.”

Terry Hall, Sales Director, Tridion UK said: "The BDA has a huge amount of important information that it needs to share with its members online. Tridion is pleased to be providing the underlying platform to power the online information centre that will allow them to do this easily and cost effectively."
