Delivering the Vision of Service Transformation

The Service Transformation Agreement seeks to bring the true voice of citizens and businesses into the way in which services are designed, delivered and enhanced over time.

This will necessitate a better coordination of service delivery across all the channels through which citizens and businesses access public services, whether online, telephone, face-to-face, or via helplines. But more significantly, service transformation will require a substantial reduction in 'avoidable' contact with the citizen in person, instead encouraging more efficient delivery of services online. Organisations will have to provide relevant, customer-facing information online, either via directgov or businesslink.gov.uk or via their own corporate sites. 

For organisations in the Public Sector, this means that their Web sites have taken on an even more critical role.  As organisations drive content online they will need to ensure their sites are fit for purpose. Similarly, as unnecessary Web sites are rationalised, the Public Sector will need to archive them securely.  

SDL Tridion's experience of working closely in partnership with the Public Sector allows us to better understand these issues and assist organisations in meeting the objectives of the Service Transformation Agreement. That’s why we’re offering every Public Sector organisation a free, half day workshop to share our knowledge and expertise and to highlight best practices.
